Our Promise

Emeth is 100% on-device. Your data never leaves your phone.

We designed Emeth with privacy as a core feature, not an afterthought. Everything — voice recording, transcription, AI analysis, and knowledge graph generation — happens entirely on your device.

Data We Do NOT Collect

Emeth does not collect, transmit, store on remote servers, or share:

• Voice recordings or audio data
• Transcription text
• AI analysis results (emotions, scenes, keywords)
• Personal notes or journal entries
• Usage patterns or analytics
• Device identifiers or fingerprints
• Location data
• Contacts, calendar, or other personal data

What Stays On Your Device

• Voice recordings — stored locally in the app's document directory
• Transcriptions — generated by Apple's SFSpeechRecognizer, processed on-device
• AI Analysis — performed by Apple's NaturalLanguage framework (NLTagger), completely local
• Notes database — JSON file stored in the app sandbox only
• Language preferences — stored in UserDefaults on your device

Microphone & Speech Recognition

Emeth requires microphone access solely for voice recording within the app. Microphone data is never uploaded or transmitted by Emeth. Speech recognition uses the iOS system's SFSpeechRecognizer engine, which runs on your device. Any processing performed by the operating system itself (such as optional Apple system speech services) is a built-in feature of iOS governed by Apple's Privacy Policy — Apple is the operating system vendor, not a third party to this app. Emeth itself makes zero outbound network requests and does not send, share, or sell any user data to anyone — Apple or otherwise.

No Third-Party Services

Emeth integrates with zero third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or cloud services:

• No Google Analytics / Firebase
• No third-party AI/LLM APIs
• No advertising SDKs
• No crash reporting SDKs (we use Apple's built-in crash reports)
• No network requests of any kind (zero outbound connections)

In-App Purchase (Emeth Pro)

Emeth offers a one-time purchase ($49.99 USD) via Apple's StoreKit 2 framework. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple; Emeth never receives or stores your payment information.

Children's Privacy

Emeth does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since no data is collected at all, the app is safe for users of all ages.

Your Rights

Since Emeth stores all data exclusively on your device:

• You have full control — delete notes or uninstall the app to remove all data
• No data export requests are needed — your data was never sent to us
• No account deletion process — there are no accounts

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change this privacy policy (e.g., to add an optional cloud feature), we will notify users prominently within the app and update this page.
